Krewe of Lafitte 2025 Coronation
All members, spouses/significant others and guests are welcome to celebrate the Coronation of Lafitte LXX, His Queen, and their Court.
Please don’t arrive before the doors open at 6:00 pm as we will be preparing to welcome Lafitte LXX, His Queen and their Court for this fantastic event!
The Coronation Social Hour will begin at 6:00 PM for our 70th Coronation Ball at the Hadji Shrine Temple, 800 West Nine Mile Rd on May 17, 2025. All members, spouses/significant others, and guests are invited to join in for a fun Social Hour before the Ball with low background music and the lights up. Of course, the Bars will be open!
All active Krewe members are required to be in their Full Krewe Costumes. All associate members and male guests are to be in tuxedos. All ladies are required to wear FLOOR LENGTH GOWNS. NO EXCEPTIONS. Floor length means the dress must touch the floor when the shoes are removed. Pants or Pants that are covered by sheer material worn by the ladies are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Gentlemen’s coats must remain on at all time throughout the evening. Anyone not in proper attire will be asked to leave.
The Coronation of Jean Lafitte LXX and his Queen will begin at 7:00 PM. The doors to the Shrine will be locked at the beginning of the Coronation program and the bars will close. After the Coronation, the band will play until Midnight.
We are returning to the tradition of past Coronation balls and asking for members to bring food to share. This is an opportunity to visit your Pirate friends at their table and sample the food delights that are available and mingle and talk instead of being seated at your own table.
Guest tickets are available! Please contact a member of the Krewe for more information, to pay by check or cash or click the link to pay by credit card Coronation Ball tickets . Guest couple tickets are $150.00 including tax, Guest single tickets are $75.00 including tax plus credit card fee. Tickets include an Open Bar and entertainment.
NO DRINKS are allowed on the dance floor. This is a safety issue.
